Purpose: To help save lives, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center relies on individuals from diverse backgrounds to Commit for Life and make life-saving donations. The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting understands this need and encourages more Hispanics to join them at their blood drive on Saturday, Feb. 28. Many Hispanics have become regular blood donors; however, there are still more Hispanic patients needing blood than there are Hispanics donating. The members of ALPFA and the Hispanic community they serve have the ability to change this and save lives.
Notes: Every individual who donates will receive a brief health screening where they will have their blood pressure, iron and cholesterol levels checked as part of the donation process.
