Title: part-time employee needed - French Consulate

Requirements: Applicants must be fluent in English and French, and familiar with office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Express and Internet). Familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus but not required. Knowledge of the American university system and strong organizational skills are a must, for the management of electronic applications, scanning of transcripts and correspondence.

Description: The Mission for Science and Technology of the Consulate General of France in Houston is seeking a part-time employee (16 hours a week) to manage the Chateaubriand scientific fellowship program. This position involves regular communication with doctoral and postdoctoral applicants as well as organizations in France.

This position also involves steady follow-up, throughout the year, with accepted fellows and management of documents for their departure and installment in the French host laboratory. Other duties include promotional mailings to universities and communication with French Embassy in Washington for website maintenance and other administrative details, as necessary.
